Our story

Made by surfers. Cut from what the ocean gave back.

Maya and Dan Alvarez started Salt Run in 2020 out of their garage in Ventura, California — three blocks from the point break where they learned to surf and eight blocks from where they were married.

They wanted swim that could take a real beating: dawn patrols, dune walks, chlorine, saltwater, long car rides in a wet bag. Every piece they make is cut from ECONYL, a regenerated nylon spun from discarded fishing nets and industrial waste.

Recycled by default

Every swim piece uses ECONYL regenerated nylon. Coverups are linen or organic cotton. Nothing virgin.

Designed by the water

Cuts are tested in Ventura and Baja before they hit production. If it doesn't stay put on a paddle, we don't sell it.

Small, on purpose

We stay small so we know every fabric roll by name. We won't grow past what we can vouch for.

Where we ship from

We stock inventory across three Southern California warehouses so most orders ship the same day.
